Her creative journey began in fashion, inspired by her mother’s everyday style and the way clothing could communicate presence, power, and grace. That early influence led Nakita to study at the Toronto Fashion Academy, where she honed her skills in fashion and wardrobe styling.

With years of experience as a model, Nakita has collaborated with brands and creatives across the industry, gaining a deep understanding of fashion from both sides of the lens. Today, she is the founder and designer of NAKITA—a luxury swimwear brand that blends refined sophistication with untamed island spirit. Beyond fashion, Nakita is also the founder of Her Path Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports women and girls through healing, creativity, and empowerment. The foundation provides essential care—funding therapy, education, nourishing meals, hygiene kits, clothing, and the vital resources women need to feel safe, supported, and seen.
