ENTREPRENEUR

Nakita Clarke is a founder, designer, and global creative whose work exists at the intersection of design, travel, and culture. Known for her distinctive perspective on style, identity, and experience, she is building a modern ecosystem of brands rooted in creativity, connection, and empowerment.

Born in New York and raised between the Caribbean warmth of Trinidad and Tobago and the cosmopolitan energy of Toronto, Nakita grew up surrounded by a blend of cultures, rhythms, and influences that would later shape her aesthetic. Movement, contrast, and duality became the language of her work — softness and strength, tradition and rebellion, beauty and edge.

Her instinct for design began early, inspired by her mother’s effortless sense of style and her family’s furniture business, where she first learned how design can shape emotion and perception. That early influence evolved into formal studies in fashion, wardrobe styling, and interior design, strengthening her artistic eye and expanding her creative voice.

Before becoming a designer, Nakita worked as both a model and stylist, developing a deep understanding of fashion from the inside out. That experience gave her a rare perspective — not only how clothing looks, but how it moves, fits, and tells a story. Today, that vision lives through NVKD, her design brand known for its confident silhouettes, sensual edge, and unapologetic celebration of modern femininity.

Her work is guided by a philosophy she calls dark femininity — not something negative or feared, but a powerful declaration of individuality and self-possession. To Nakita, it represents the courage to exist outside of expectation, to embrace complexity, and to own one’s presence without apology.

Beyond fashion, Nakita’s global travels have deeply influenced her worldview and creative direction. Inspired by the culture, energy, and connections she discovered around the world, she founded Iconic Travel Club, a members-based travel and social community that brings together founders, creatives, and explorers through curated destinations, rooftop city mixers, and meaningful global connections. Through her platform, she also mentors aspiring travelers and entrepreneurs on how to leverage travel as opportunity and lifestyle.

Philanthropy remains central to Nakita’s mission. She is the founder of Her Path Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women and girls through healing, creativity, and empowerment. The foundation works to provide access to therapy, education, housing support, and essential care — creating pathways toward safety, dignity, and possibility. To Nakita, healing is the most meaningful form of design.

Today, Nakita Clarke continues to expand her creative universe through design, travel, mentorship, and philanthropy — building brands that inspire confidence, connection, and global perspective.

She is not simply creating products or experiences.

She is building a legacy.
